Writer and director of the 2014 movie Amka and the Three Golden Rules. The movie received rave reviews in major international press.[5][6][7] WCBE's leading movie critic wrote 'Ahmed has crafted an affecting Mongolian tale as instructive about the enduring values of an ancient culture as it is a universal story of a boy’s coming of age.' [1] Mongolia's biggest English language newspaper UB Post describes the movie as 'Brilliantly crafted' and went on to write that 'combined with a strong lead, stunning shots of the spectacular landscapes of Mongolia and excellent music ... the story is in many ways a symbol of how Mongolia must decide its own fate.' [7] The movie also played at multiple film festivals.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15] At the Arizona International Film Festival, the movie received a special award for "Bridging Cultures'.[16]

Genius (2003 film) was Ahmed's debut film, released direct to video nationwide in America.[17]

His second film, Royal Kill, was released in 2009 and distributed by Lions Gate Entertainment[18] and featured performances by Eric Roberts and Pat Morita. The film received highly polarizing reviews. Zisiemporium's lead critic wrote that it "resembles a Brian DePalma film" and hoped for a sequel.[19] Other major publications called the movie "Fun, imaginative, and complex".[18][20][21]
