Jawad Hassan

Jawad Hassan is a Lahore based Jurist and Judge of Lahore High Court,[1] was born on 28th July 1967 in Lahore, Pakistan. after schooling, he graduated from University of the Punjab then he did Master from University of the Punjab in 1991 and further admitted in University Law College for law degree LL.B. 1993 to proceed United States of America for higher studies. Jawad completed his LL.M. from Pace University New York 1995-6 and entered in legal profession in 1996. He was life member of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan. Before elevation to Bench, he was appointed as Additional Advocate General Punjab[2] to represent the Government of Punjab.[3]

Biography

Jawad born and grew up in Lahore, after completing his studies he chooses to follow his family profession of law and joined as partner of Hassan & Hassan Advocates. He teaches law in Kinnaird College Lahore and contributed a vital role to establish law department in Kinnaird College for Women University, Lahore.

Appointment as Justice

As a busy lawyer and law officer, Additional Advocate General Punjab he contributed and demonstrated a significant role in the Bar[4] and society.[5] The President of Pakistan appointed him as judge of the Lahore High Court,[6] Lahore on 26 November 2016 and he took the oath as judge of the Lahore High Court[7] along with fellow Judges who were also appointed.[8]
