Čengić family
The Čengić family (Serbo-Croatian: Čengići) was an Ottoman Bosnian family (also called "bey family") that produced several notable lords in the Bosnia Eyalet of the Ottoman Empire. They were of Turkic origin,[1] according to V. Ćorović hailing from Anatolia, their ancestor being İsfendiyar Bey.[2] Folk tradition holds them as descendants of either the Sijerčić from Zagora or Ljubović beys of Nevesinje.[2] Their name is derived from çengiz (Genghis).

- Bećir-paša Čengić (fl. 1737), military commander
- Džafer-paša Čengić (fl. 1777), lord
- Smail-aga Čengić (1780–1840), lord (agha and mütesellim) and military commander, son of Ibrahim
- Dedaga Čengić (1823–1874), military commander, son of Smail-aga
- Ali-paša Čengić (fl. 1840), military commander
