1979 Australian Open – Men's Singles

First-seeded Guillermo Vilas successfully defended his title, defeating John Sadri 7–6(7–4), 6–3, 6–2 in the final to win the Men's Singles tennis title at the 1979 Australian Open. This was his second title and third and last Australian Open final.
