2020 General Directorate of Security Super King Air 350 crash
On 15 July 2020, a Beechcraft Super King Air 350i plane operated by the Turkey General Directorate of Security crashed on Mount Artos, 30 kilometers southwest of Van Ferit Melen Airport.[1] It was doing a reconnaissance flight. All 2 crew members and 5 passengers on the plane died as a result of the accident.[2]

The Super King Air 350i with tail number EM-809 (manufacturer serial number FL-896), which made its first flight in 2015 was operated by the Turkey General Directorate of Security.[2]
Flight
Airplane took off from Van Ferit Melen Airport at 18:34 local time for the research flight. After completing its mission, disappeared from the radar around 22.45 when going to Van Ferit Melen Airport.[1][3]
