2021 Prince Edward Island Liberal Party leadership election
The 2021 Prince Edward Island Liberal Party leadership election will be held on a date that is to be determined to elect a leader to replace Wade MacLauchlan, who resigned on May 8, 2019, after 2019 general election, which saw the party relegated to third-party status by losing 10 seats, including MacLauchlan's seat of Stanhope-Marshfield.[1]

- August 21 – Interim leader Sonny Gallant announces the party is forming a leadership selection committee to develop the timing and rules for a leadership election.[5]
