The 2021 ICC Under-19 Women's Cricket World Cup is an upcoming international limited-overs cricket tournament scheduled to be held in Bangladesh in December 2021.[1][2] It will be the first edition of the Under-19 Women's Cricket World Cup. The decision of holding this tournament was taken during the International Cricket Council (ICC) board meetings in Dubai on 14 October 2019.[3][4][5] In November 2020, the ICC looked at the possibility of deferring the tournament from its scheduled slot of January 2021 to later in the year.[6] In January 2021, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that they would host the tournament in December 2021.[7]
