Armenia (/ɑːrˈmiːniə/ (listen); Armenian: Հայաստան, romanized: Hayastan, IPA: [hɑjɑsˈtɑn]), officially the Republic of Armenia (Armenian: Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն, romanized: Hayastani Hanrapetut'yun, IPA: [hɑjɑstɑˈni hɑnɾɑpɛtutʰˈjun]), is a landlocked country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia. Located in Western Asia, on the Armenian Highlands, it is bordered by Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, the Lachin corridor under a Russian peacekeeping force,[lower-alpha 1] and Azerbaijan proper to the east, and Iran and Azerbaijan's exclave of Nakhchivan to the south.

- 18 January – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says that Armenia has returned all Azeri prisoners who were captured during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.[1]
- 20 January – The Ministry of Health says that Armenia plans to buy COVID-19 vaccines from AstraZeneca for 3% of the country's population.[2]
