24th Regiment Grey's Horse

24th Regiment Grey's Horse was a Canadian Army militia cavalry regiment and part of Non-Permanent Active Militia.

It was originally formed in Oxford County, Ontario and Waterloo County, Ontario in Ontario on April 2, 1908, in honour of Albert Grey, 4th Earl Grey[1] The regiment was headquartered in Woodstock, Ontario with squadrons in Woodstock and Ingersoll, Ontario. Lineage can be traced back to 1798 with the Oxford Rifles.[2]

In 1914 it joined with 22nd Battalion to form A Company of the 1st Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.

Headquarters moved Wingham, Ontario after World War I. In 1921 it became 9th Regiment Horse and disbanded in 1936.[3]
