Design
The Mine is a circle 4 inches(100mm) in height and 7 inches (200mm) in diameter.[1]It has a mine cover which is mushroom shaped which is attached to the mine with three pins which fit into retaining straps.[2]It works similarly to the A.T. Mine E.P. Mark II in that pressure on the mine by a vehicle sends a plunger straight down through shear wire and then down onto an ampoule cartridge crushing it.[2]This causes a chemical reaction which activates the detonater.[2]Where this mine differs from the previous one is that instead of the detonater activating the mine itself it triggers a booster charge which then triggers the mine.[2]To arm the mine you need to take off the cover and then place the fuze in it.[2]Then put an ampoule into the detonater and seal it in and insert the detonater into the fuze then seal the detonater in.[2]Grease fuze and then insert in the central fuze well of the mine then put back on cover and it is armed.[2]To disable the mine take off the cover with no downwards pressure and then take out the fuze.
