A Promise (2014 film)

A Promise is an American 2014 independent film written and directed by Samone Norsworthy. Set in 1930s Liberty County, Georgia, the film is a "coming-of-age, faith-based film"[1] starring Tillman Norsworthy, Melvin Joyner.

Plot

Daniel is a 10-year-old boy in the 1930s South, during the post-depression era. When his father is dying, he is runs into challenges while trying to save his life.[2]

Reception

On May 7, 2015 the film premiered at Dorchester Village Civic Center in Midway, Georgia.[1] The movie has garnered attention for using the historic Liberty County, Georgia, as the setting for the film.[5] It is also one of 12,000 entries from all 50 states and was one of the 25 percent that was chosen as a winner of the Telly Award.[6]
