Afsana Khan

Afsana Khan (born 13 June 1994) is an Indian Punjabi playback singer and songwriter. (She was born on Monday, 13 June 1994 in village Badal, Sri Muktsar Sahib. Afsana did her schooling from village Badal’s Government Senior Secondary School. She is a graduate. Afsana was born into a family of musicians; her father and grandfather were singers. Her father passed away when Afsana was too young. Afsana started singing at a very young age in order to provide financial aid to her family. She is the sister of Khuda Baksh who was runner up in Indian Idol 9. She is known for songs like Jataa Sareaam, Ve To Dhakka, Titliaan, Bazar[1][2])

Controversy

When Afsana Khan visited her own school, a government senior secondary school at Badal village in the district and sang some lines of her song, the video went viral. A complaint was filed against her to the police since the song seemed to promote gun culture.[3][4]
