AirTags

AirTags are a tracking device rumored to be made by Apple Inc and to be released in 2021. It is able to act as a key finder. It was accidentally confirmed in April 2020, as a feature in an official Apple product support video showing it supported in the Find My iPhone user interface.[1][2][3][4] The product was first reported to be under development in April 2019, and in January 2020 an analyst said they were expected to be released in Q1 2020.[5] Industry watcher Redmond Pie reported in February 2020 that Asahi Electronics was prepared to begin supplying Apple with tens of millions of ultra-wideband (UWB) parts for the AirTags in the second and third quarters of 2020.[6] In Apple's newly released iOS14, code was found that described the reusable and removable battery that will be used in the device. May require UWB support in iOS device

Some iOS devices support UWB and are said to be compatible with AirTags. On April 2, 2020, it was then confirmed by Appleosophy that AirTags were a recognised product in an Apple Support video posted to YouTube.[8] AirTags were not announced as expected by industry observers at the October 2020 Apple Event.[9]In late October 2020, rumours of an Apple event to take place in early November to announce new Apple Silicon based Macs, indicate that two AirTag tracker sizes will also be announced with availability about 1 month later.[10] This did not happen. The price range of AirTags remains unconfirmed.[11]
