Alam Muzaffarnagari

Alam Muzaffarnagari (1901-1969), real name Muhammad Ishaaq, was born in Muzaffarnagar, a city in Uttar Pradesh.[1] He was a Qasida, Masnavi, Ruba'i, Nazm and Ghazal writer. He spent his entire life in Muzaffarnagar where he studied Persian and Arabic and later taught these languages at the local Islamia Inter College, Muzaffarnagar U.P. He was a disciple of Seemab Akbarabadi. Two collections of his poems (mainly ghazals), titled Salsabil and Kausar o Tasniim, have been published.[2]
