Aleksandra Hortensja Dąbek
Aleksandra Hortensja Dąbek (born October 1, 1996) is a Polish pianist and fortepianist.

Early career
Dabek began her musical education at the age of seven. At the age of thirteen, she won third prize at the 14th All-Poland Halina Czerny-Stefańska Piano Tournament in Żagań, and a year later, first prize in the 6th All-Poland Piano Festival ‘Young Pianists’ Interpretations of Chopin’ organised by the Chopin Society as part of the Chopin Year 2010 celebrations, and third prize in the 8th International Chopin Competition in Narva, Estonia. She also won first prize at the 21st International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youngsters in Szafarnia.[1] In 2015, she took part in the XVII International Chopin Piano Competition.[2]
Career and education
In 2016, Dabek played a recital in New York’s Carnegie Hall.[3] Her debut album of Chopin and Schumann (Dux Records) is released in 2018. She played at numerous music festivals in Poland such as the 75th Duszniki International Chopin Piano Festival, Duszniki-Zdrój and XXV International Piano Festival “Lato z Chopinem” (Polish: Chopin Summer) named after Barbara Hesse-Bukowska in Busko-Zdroj, and in Hungary, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and Spain. She is currently a master student of Ewa Bukojemska at the Academy of Music in Kraków.[4]
Fortepiano
In the Academy of Music in Kraków, she studies fortepiano with Katarzyna Drogosz. She participated in the 1st International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments.[5]
