Alexis Weik
Alexis Weik is an American politician and civil servant who has represented the 3rd district in the New York State Senate since 2021. A Republican, Weik had previously served as receiver of taxes for the Town of Islip from 2012 until 2020.

Personal life
Weik attended Connetquot High School in Bohemia, New York, and later received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Dowling College. She is married and has three children. The family resides in Sayville, New York.[1]
Career
Receiver of Taxes
Alexis Weik has been elected to three terms as the Town of Islip's Receiver of Taxes.
In 2011, Weik ran on the Republican, Conservative, and Independence Party lines. She won 56.86% of the vote, beating Diane Rossi-Fonatana.[2]
In 2015, Weik ran on the Republican, Conservative, Independence, and Reform Party lines. She won 66.39% of the vote, beating Maxima G Castro.[3]
In 2019, Weik ran on the Republican, Conservative, and Independence Party lines. She won 61.30% of the vote, beating Donovan G Currey.[4]
2020 State Senate race
In 2020, Alexis Weik was nominated by the Republican Party to run for New York State Senate against 1-term Senator Monica Martinez. Weik has criticized Senator Martinez for her support of New York's bail reform law, which requires people arrested for most misdemeanors to be released immediately, without a requirement to pay bail.[5] Weik won the election with 52% of the vote to Martinez's 48%, a margin of 4%.
