Allu–Konidela family

Allu–Konidela family, colloquially Mega family,[1] is an Indian film family known for their work in Telugu cinema. Prominent heads of the family are comic actor Allu Ramalingaiah and his son-in-law, notable actor-politician Chiranjeevi.[2]

Overview

Allu–Konidela family have their origins in Mogalthuru and Palakollu villages of West Godavari district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Chiranjeevi is married to Sureka, daughter of Allu Ramalingaiah and sister of Telugu film producer Allu Aravind.[3] The couple has three children: Srija, Sushmitha and Ram Charan, the latter is one of the highest paid actors of Telugu cinema.[2] Charan is married to Upasana Kamineni, grand-daughter of businessman Prathap C. Reddy.[4]

Chiranjeevi has two brothers, Nagendra Babu, and actor-politician Pawan Kalyan.[5] Nagendra Babu's children are Varun Tej and Niharika Konidela.[6]

Kalyan is married thrice to Nandini, Renu Desai and Anna Lezhneva. He has two children with DesaiAkira Nandan and Adya and two more children with LezhnevaPolena Anjana Pawanovna and Mark Shankar Pawanovich.[7]

Allu Aravind with his wife Nirmala has three children, Allu Venkatesh, Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish. The latter two are also actors in Telugu cinema.[8]Allu Arjun is married to Sneha Reddy, and the couple has two children, Ayaan and Arha.[9]

Sai Dharam Tej is nephew to Chiranjeevi and son of his sister, Vijaya Durga. Chiranjeevi has two sisters, the other being Madhavi Rao.[10]
