Amanda Kloots

Amanda Kloots (born March 19, 1982)[1][2] is an American television personality, dancer, and fitness instructor. Since 2021, she has been a co-host of The Talk.

Early life

Kloots grew up the second youngest in a family of five children.[3] She attended GlenOak High School in Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio.[4]

Career

She performed as part of the ensemble in several musicals on Broadway, including Good Vibrations, Follies, Young Frankenstein and Bullets Over Broadway.[5][6][7] She is a former member of the dance company the Rockettes.[8]

In 2020, Kloots received significant media attention for her Instagram documentation of her husband's struggle and eventual death from COVID-19.[9][10] She also launched a digital fitness brand, containing videos of exercise classes taught by her.[11][12]

In 2020, Kloots served as a guest co-host on the daytime talk show The Talk.[13] Kloots joined The Talk as a permanent co-host in January 2021.[14] Kloots is also set to release a memoir, co-authored with her sister, titled Live Your Life in June 2021.[15]

Personal life

Kloots was married to actor David Larsen for six years,[16] and was billed as Amanda Kloots-Larsen for the Broadway productions Follies (2011-2012) and Bullets Over Broadway (2014).[17] She was later married to actor Nick Cordero from 2017 until his death in 2020; the two met while working on Bullets Over Broadway.[18] The couple had a son in 2019.[19] She lives with her son in Los Angeles.[2]

Kloots endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 United States presidential election.[20]
