Amazon Sidewalk

Amazon Sidewalk is a low-bandwidth long-range wireless networking protocol developed by Amazon Inc.[1] It uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for short distances,[2] the 900 MHz spectrum and other frequencies for longer.[3] Launching at the end of 2020,[4] Amazon expects to use the protocol with an associated physical product from Tile to track domestic pets[3] and to use devices such as customers existing echo smart speakers to act as the bridges between sidewalk and the internet.[5]
