Amritpur, Uttar Pradesh

Amritpur is a prominent town and one of three tehsils in the Farrukhabad district of the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India. The other two tehsils are Farrukhabad and Kaimganj. Amritpur tehsil was created from Rajepur Block after the district was split in 1997.

Farmers here perform farming activities all 12 months. Rainfall is around 25 cm per year. Potato is largely produced in this area. Followed by sugarcane and almost all types of vegetables.
