Renovica co-owns a film production company 888 Films based in Los Angeles and Serbia, where she produces and develops films, shorts, commercials, and television shows for the United States and Europe. She is the youngest producer in Serbia to have worked with Louis Gossett Jr, producing the Cannes exhibited film 10 Minutes.[1] She is the CEO of 888 Films in Serbia, focusing on development and distribution of films in the United States, Europe and abroad.[2]
Since 2020 she started her worldwide brand as a spiritual teacher that helps people find and fulfill their life purpose and build their legacy while maintaining their spiritual self. Her brand is called Matrix Empress and she is teaching by the program of Institution for Life Development - Parallel Knowledge, that she is a part of.
Early life
Renovica was born in Cetinje, Montenegro and spent her childhood living by the seaside in Baošići, Montenegro, where her father Zoran Renovica, mother Svjetlana Renovica, and sister Anđela Renovica gave her her first lessons about love, life, and happiness. She went to elementary school in both Baošići, Montenegro, and Novi Sad, Serbia, and went to the Gymnasium Jovan Jovanović Zmaj where she showed deep interest in philosophy and rhetoric and won many international awards for it. She studied film production and enrolled in the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
Since one part of her family lived in California, she has established a deep connection to the industry and people in the US from a very young age.
Career
At the age of nineteen, Renovica met Serbian-American writer and director Sasha Knezev, who was looking to develop films in Serbia.[3] Knezev was beginning post-production on the highly acclaimed film franchise series American Addict, about prescription drug abuse in the United States. Renovica helped Knezev organize a post-production crew. This eventually led to a business partnership that inspired Renovica to open up her very own production company, 888 Films, while still finishing her education at her university.
In 2012, American Addict[4] was nominated for Best Documentary Film at the acclaimed Seattle International Film Festival. American Addict was also rated the second best documentary on Netflix by Mic on its list of '11 Netflix Documentaries That Will Change The Way You Think About Drugs', ranking only below 2012 Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winner ‘The House I Live In’.[5]
American Addict was broadcast in Spain on national television on RTVE, Spain's largest broadcaster. To date it has been viewed in over 40 countries.[6]
In 2015, American actress Jenna Elfman presented American Addict with an Award for Social Activism.
Released in 2016, American Addict 2: The Big Lie[7] exposes the politics of the pharmaceutical industry even deeper. Matthew Perry, Jonathan Davis, Ron Paul] and Dennis Kucinich contribute to this gripping sequel.[8]
She has also produced the short film Cassandra Awakens' in 2016, which deals with the delicate theme of children's cancer.
Her documentary Lex Homeless, directed by Zoran Tairović is set to be released in 2021 and is a document about poverty and the issue of power and sovereignty in the mentality of the ego-based societies that still exist on planet Earth, to this day.
Her documentary So, Where the Hell Is My Prince Charming?, directed by Sonja Rakić set to be released in 2022 deals with the subject of finding love for ourselves. The project has been funded by Film Center Serbia has been the part of many notable forums, workshops, and pitches, such as Sarajevo Film Festival Pack&Pitch, GoEast, DOC Serbia, Lisbon Docs, IDFAcademy, Zagreb DOX and Beldocs, where they won an award for best Serbian Doc in Progress.
Her documentary Carlitos (or How I Became a Dog Abuser), directed by Ivana Janošev is set to be released in 2022 as well and is dealing with the subject of violence and how to prevent it without starting another vicious cycle of violence. The project has been part of Sarajevo Film Festival Pack&Pitch as well as Film + workshop and is financed by Film Center Serbia.
Personal
Renovica is influenced and inspired by people like Grant Cardone and Elena Cardone, Natalie Ellis, CEO of BossBabe, Brene Brown, Celine Dion, John Templeton, George Lucas, J. K. Rowling.
Her first business teacher and mentor was Sasha Knezev, with whom she started her first company and she is deeply thankful for all the mentorship he did.
She is deeply thankful to Tony Robbins that led her to spiritual awakening.
And most of all, she is thankful to her twin flame and spiritual master Goran Marinković, for helping her find the right spiritual practice for herself and mentoring her in her business and career, to make a shift and start working from a more grounded and spiritual place where she was able to manifest many vast and amazing opportunities. She will always be thankful for the blessings and love he brought to all of her past and present lifetimes.
