Andrzej Kunowski

Andrzej Kunowski (1955-2009) was a Polish murderer and serial rapist.[1] He served a series of prison sentences in Poland for sex attacks which he carried out there.[1] The first rape he was convicted of he had committed when he was 17; he is known to have committed 27 rapes and sexual assaults in Poland.[1] After escaping from a Polish prison where he was serving a sentence for raping a 10-year-old girl, he illegally moved to London.[1] On 22 May 1997, he raped and murdered 12-year-old Macedonian girl Katerina Koneva in her home in Hammersmith, west London.[1] In March 2004 at the Old Bailey, he was convicted of her murder, for which he was jailed for life.[1] On 23 September 2009, he died of heart failure at Frankland Prison, Durham, England.[1]
