Angela Ammons

Angela Ammons (born January 11, 1983, in Austin, Texas) is a former singer and songwriter who currently works as a professional photographer.

Music career

Ammons began her career singing karaoke. A few years later, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and signed a contract with Universal Records.

Her self-titled debut album was completed and released in September 2001.[1]

Ammons found early influences from artists including The Beatles, Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, Shirley Manson, and Aerosmith.[1]

Her song "Always Getting Over You" was featured in the teen comedy film American Pie 2, and the subsequent CD soundtrack. Another of her tracks, "When It Doesn't Matter", was featured in the motion picture Save the Last Dance, though it didn't appear on the soundtrack.

Personal life

Ammons married Cameron Parrish, a Tennessean with a business in the Caribbean, on June 8, 2003. She currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband and three children. She works as a professional photographer.
