Early life

Anna Rust was born to British parents Will Rust and Clare Bryant.[1] She currently lives in London, United Kingdom.[2]

Career

Anna Rust began her career as a child actor in projects like Doctor Zhivago and The Brothers Grimm.[3]

She then went on to work on NBC's Crossing Lines, TNT's Legends, Interlude in Prague and Ophelia, before taking on the role of Fleury in Carnival Row, the Pix courtesan at Moira's brothel.[4]

In a red carpet interview for Carnival Row, Rust told Express about her character: “There’s a little bit of stigma around sex work generally and I think a lot of the time people are under the impression that you are only ever forced into it. I don’t think there was a lot of choice for [Fleury] because all of the mythical creatures don’t have many job opportunities but I don’t think it was something that she was entirely against, which I think is quite cool.”[5]

Rust has also worked on video games like Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Nioh 2, Battlefield V, and starred as Gaia in Final Fantasy XIV.[6]

She has received awards and nominations for her work, including the award for Best Actress at the Venice Short Film Festival.[7]

Personal life

Rust is an outspoken activist for animal rights, LGBT representation, and diversity in film.[8][9][10]
