Anna Whitelock

Anna Whitelock, FRHistS, is a British historian and academic, specialising in the Tudors and public history. She is Director of the London Centre for Public History and Heritage and Head of the History Department at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Career

Whitelock received her PhD from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge in 2000. Her doctoral thesis was Henry VIII's Ecclesiastical Patronage.[1] She is a Reader in early modern history at Royal Holloway, University of London.[2] She is Director of the London Centre for Public History and Heritage.[3]

Whitelock is an elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (FRHistS). She won the PEN Weld Award for Biography.
