Anthony Gordon (footballer)
Anthony Michael Gordon (born 24 February 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Championship club Preston North End on loan from Everton and the England national under-20 team.

Career
Gordon joined Everton as an 11-year old.[2] On 6 December 2017, Gordon was named in Everton's first team squad for the Europa League match away to Apollon Limassol.[3] A day later, he made his first-team debut, coming on as an 88th-minute substitute in a 3–0 win.[4][5]
He made his Premier League debut coming on as a substitute for Bernard in a 1–1 draw with West Ham in January 2020.
Gordon received his first Premier League start in June 2020 in a 0–0 draw with Liverpool.
On 1 September 2020, Gordon signed a new five-year contract with Everton.[6]
In September 2020, Gordon featured in two EFL Cup matches, one start against Salford City and one substitute appearance against Fleetwood Town and registered two total assists in the process.
On 1 February 2021, Gordon joined Championship side Preston North End on loan for the remainder of the 2020–21 season.[7]
International
Having represented his country at U18 and U19 level, Gordon made his debut for the England U20s during a 2–0 victory over Wales at St. George's Park on 13 October 2020. [8]
Gordon is also eligible for the Republic of Ireland and Scotland due to having both Irish and Scottish grandparents.
