Antonio Plazibat

Plazibat fought in the 2015 W.A.K.O World Championship. He won his first three fights, but lost to Basir Abakarov in the finals, securing a second place finish. He won the Croatian Kickboxing Championship tournament for the second time in 2016, beating Anto Širić by unanimous decision.[14]

His last feature in an amateur tournament was in 2018 edition of the W.A.K.O European Championships. He would go a perfect 3-0, to win his last amateur title.[15]

Plazibat made his professional debut in August 2013, during Oluja u Ringu 5, against Marko Vidović.[16] He won the fight by a third round head kick.[17] Plazibat notched two more victories on the regional circuit, winning decisions against Simon Krizmanić[18] and Franci Grajš.[19]

Plazibat then signed a contract with Final Fight Championship. He was immediately placed in the FFC Futures Kickboxing Light Heavyweight tournament.[20] In the semifinals, Plazibat defeated Stipe Stipetić by a second round TKO, and in the finals, he defeated Mitar Dugalić by a third round TKO.[21]

Plazibat notched two more wins with the organization, defeating Bojan Džepina and Daniel Skvor by knockout.[22][23] His winning streak earned Plazibat his highest profile fight of his career up to that point, as he was scheduled to fight Sergej Maslobojev at FFC 22: Athens.[24] Maslobojev won the fight by a second round TKO, after the ringside doctor waved the fight off due to a cut.[25]

Following his first loss, Plazibat moved away from FFC. In his ninth professional fight, Plazibat was scheduled to fight the former WAKO and SUPERKOMBAT Cruiserweight champion Bogdan Stoica.[26] He won the fight by TKO, after Stoica suffered a leg injury in the second round.[27]

A month later, Plazibat fought Dănuț Hurduc at SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV.[28] He won the fight through a unanimous decision. A month later, Plazibat fought another former SUPERKOMBAT champion in Frank Muñoz, winning the fight by a unanimous decision.[29]

In 2017, Plazibat signed with K-1, entering their Heavyweight Grand Prix.[30] Aftering beating K-Jee by KO and Makoto Uehara by a flying knee KO, he faced Ibrahim El Bouni in the tournament finals. He won a unanimous decision to become the 2017 K-1 Heavyweight Champion.[31] He would lose the title in his first defense against Roel Mannaart by a unanimous decision.[32] He would further lose to Sergej Maslobojev.[33][34]

Plazibat subsequently left Ameno Gym and joined Mike's Gym.[35]

In his first fight Plazibat beat Nordine Mahieddine.[36] In his next fight he achieved a dominant win over Tomas Mozny.[37] In his third fight, Plazibat would get his career best win in the heavyweight division, with a split decision win over Jahfarr Wilnis.[38]

Plazibat is scheduled to face Levi Rigters in the Glory four man heavyweight tournament, during Glory 76: Antwerp.[39] The tournament pairings later changed, with Plazibat facing Nordine Mahieddine instead of Rigters.[40] The event was postponed as Plazibat's gym mate Badr Hari contracted COVID-19,[41] and due to a partial lockdown imposed by the Dutch government.[42] The tournament was rescheduled for December 19.[43] The fight with Mahieddine went into an extra round, after which Plazibat lost a split decision.[44]

After his first loss in Glory, Plazibat was scheduled to fight the promotional newcomer Tarik Khbabez at Glory 77.[45] Plazibat later stated that he was offered the Khbabez fight by Glory, but refused the fight due to right hand injuries.[46]
