"Apparente Libertà" is the longest pop song ever composed (76 minutes and 44 seconds) and released on a CD.

It was composed in 2005, by Giancarlo Ferrari (born March 23, 1972 in Vercelli), an Italian songwriter, and in 2008, it was published on a CD, whose low quality of the vocal track, perhaps due to the bad state of health of the singer (victim of a serious road accident in 1998), makes the understanding of the lyrics often difficult.

It is a synthpop song about important matters: distortions of history, pollution, racism, the slavery and the illusions of the working class, the driven news spread by the media that make real democracy impossible.

The song has peaked at number 52 on Norway iTunes Top Albums chart.

From 1992 to 1996 Giancarlo Ferrari was the singer and founding member of the goth band Some Sad Clowns.
