Armaan (1953 film)
Armaan (transl. "Desire") is a 1953 romantic drama film. It was directed and produced by Fali Mistry. It stars Madhubala and Dev Anand in lead roles. The music for the film was composed by S.D. Burman.

Release
Critical reception
Armaan received mixed-to-negative response from critics. A reviewer of Cineplot described it as "a quite good picture despite its numerous directional deficiencies." It mostly lauded Madhubala for her performance: "[She] puts her part over with an allure, charm and sensitivity which are astoundingly good."[1] Another reaction by Thought journal lamented Anand's "limited acting skills", and found the film to be "very illogical, of a mediocre level".[2]
