Asher Clayton Taylor

Asher Clayton Taylor was a brigadier general in the United States Army.

Biography

Taylor was born in New York on 21 February 1842. He married Mary Jane Braningan, who died in 1931.

Taylor died in 1922 and is buried with his wife at Arlington National Cemetery.[1]

Career

Taylor joined the 3rd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War. Following the war he would be assigned to the 15th Infantry Regiment. Later he would be assigned to the artillery. He was a veteran of both the Civil War and the Spanish–American War.
