Ashok Mirpuri
Ashok K. Mirpuri (born 13 December 1959) is a Singaporean academic and diplomat currently serving as Singapore's Ambassador to the United States since July 2012.[1]

Academic career
Mirpuri graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours, 2nd Class Upper) degree in Political science from the National University of Singapore in 1984. He then received his Master of Arts degree at the University of London in 1992 under a Raffles Scholarship.[2][3]
Diplomatic career
In May 1984, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1987 to 1991, he was previously posted to the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta as First Secretary.[2][3]
