Aspergillus intermedius
Aspergillus intermedius is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus. It is from the Aspergillus section.[2] The species was first described in 1975.[1] It has been reported to produce asperflavin, auroglaucin, dihydroauroglaucin, echinulins, epiheveadrides, flavoglaucin, isoechinulins, LL-S491β, neoechinulins, physcion, questin, and tetrahydroauroglaucin.[2]

Growth and morphology
A. intermedius has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoid® (MEAOX) plates. The growth morphology of the colonies can be seen in the pictures below.
