Aspergillus primulinus

Aspergillus primulinus (also named Neosartorya quadricincta and Neosartorya primulina) is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus. It is from the Fumigati section.[2] Several fungi from this section produce heat-resistant ascospores, and the isolates from this section are frequently obtained from locations where natural fires have previously occurred.[2] The species was first described in 1993.[1] It has been reported to produce quinolactacin and aszonalenins.[2]
