Aureliano Urrutia

Aureliano Urrutia, Sr. (6 June 1872 14 August 1975) was a physician, and the Minister of Interior under Victoriano Huerta in Mexico.

Biography

He died on August 15, 1975 in San Antonio, Texas.[1]

He was born in Xochimilco, Federal District, on June 6, 1872, the son of Pedro Urrutia and from Refugio Sandoval, indigenous. He studied in his native place and later he studied at the National School of Medicine,and got a degree in Medicine in 1890, being considered the best student of his generation. In 1893 he served as a military doctor in the territory of Quintana Roo. [2] Later he became a member of the 3rd battalion stationed in Chilpancingo, warrior ; there he met General Victoriano Huerta. Returning to his profession, he stood out as one of the most prominent surgeons in Mexico. [3]
