Auriga is a software R&D and IT outsourcing services provider. The company is a privately held C-corporation, incorporated in the US in 1993, while the development centers are in Russia (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don) and EU (Vilnius, Lithuania).[1] Founded in 1990, Auriga is one of the oldest companies in the Russian software R&D and IT outsourcing industry.[2]

Auriga is the full member of RUSSOFT, the association of software developing companies from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine.[3][4]

In 2020 Auriga Joins OR.NET Association for Medical Device Interoperability and Intel® Partner Alliance.

Auriga offers a wide range of software R&D and consultancy services, including device prototyping and emulation, automated and interoperability testing, system V&V, legacy code refactoring, porting to CPUs and operating systems, third party platforms customization and integration, as well as maintenance and sustaining engineering. Over the past 25 years working with medical device, automobile and construction tools manufactures, telecom and power management companies Auriga has accumulated knowledge of the software development and testing practices that save time and costs and allow strict compliance with quality and risk management standards.

Auriga provides its services to customers in such industries as medical devices, telecom, mobile, finance, information security, media and entertainment, consumer electronics, education, government, automotive, avionics, logistics, robotics, industrial automation etc.

The list of Auriga's clients includes such companies as Broadvision, Chrysler, Dialogic, Digital Guardian, Home Credit, Parasoft, LynuxWorks, Conservation Services Group, Draeger, MedLumix and many more valued customers whose names we cannot disclose.[5]

History

Auriga was founded on December 29, 1990, by Dr. Alexis Sukharev, a professor of the Moscow State University, in Moscow, Russia. Named Infort initially, the company was later rebranded as Auriga. In 1993, Auriga Inc. was incorporated in the U.S.[2][6]

Since the day of its foundation the company has been designed to deliver offshore and nearshore software outsourcing projects for customers worldwide. Auriga's first project was to design and implement a database application for Hewlett-Packard to track contracts with outside consulting companies and independent contractors for several HP entities, monitor the completion time and project status, and generate reports on the financial status for the projects. As a result, Auriga gained the status of Hewlett-Packard's exclusive Business Partner for Moscow and Moscow Region within the Packard Initiative.

In 1991–1992, Auriga launched the first offshore project for ADE Corp. in Statistical Process Control and Quality Assurance and the first offshore system programming projects in real-time area for Aquila Technologies Group Inc. and Encore, Inc. In 1995–1996, Auriga launched the first projects for Interleaf, Inc. (in 2000, Interleaf, Inc. became a Division of BroadVision, Inc.) and Lynx RTS, Inc. (in 2000, renamed LynuxWorks, Inc.; in 2014, renamed Lynx Software Technologies, Inc.). Both companies remain Auriga's clients even today.

In 2002-2003, Auriga became a member of Bitkom, German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media and a member of New Hampshire High Tech Council (NHHTC); Massachusetts Telecommunications Council (MTC); MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge; Secure Digital Association (SDA).

2007 - Auriga was recognized by Global Services as one of the “Top 10 to Watch in Emerging European Markets” and was included in Global Services 100 list for the second consecutive year. Auriga has been successfully assessed against CMMI Level 4 certification. 2010 - Auriga opens a Representative Office in Vilnus, Lithuania.

2011 - This year Auriga is in eleven sub-lists of the Global Outsourcing 100, including: Best 10 Rising Stars by Industry Focus - Health Care; Best 10 Rising Stars by Industry Focus – Telecommunications; Best 20 Companies by Service Provided - Research & Development Services. New branch office opened in Woburn, MA. (June, 2011). Auriga is recognized as #1 Engineering Services Providers by Datamonitor, ahead of IBM, HP, Siemens and Dell.

2013 - Auriga engineers ported and enhanced proprietary face-recognition algorithm on Android platform. Over 40 engineers received Certificates of training in IEC 62304 in July 2013. Auriga was included in Global Outsourcing 100 list by IAOP and placed in eight sub-lists, including: Healthcare; Technology and Research & Development Services.

2014 - Auriga performed its first project for Google Glass and developed the second generation of the EnergyMeasure® software suite for Conservation Services Group (CSG).

2015 - Auriga’s engineering center in Vilnius (Lithuania), Auriga Baltics, received the “Strongest in Lithuania” certificate. Auriga showcased a new wireless patient monitoring app built with Intel’s Multi-OS Engine at Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco. Auriga conducted market research to uncover significant trends related to the interoperability of medical devices and information systems.

2016 - Auriga launched its HL7 initiative. Auriga's engineers gained experience in prototype development with new Intel XDK platform. Auriga’s team successfully completed our first preventive healthcare app with speech recognition project.

2017 - Auriga launches its second embedded R&D lab for new-generation safety- and life-critical devices. Auriga’s engineers gained experience in Industry 4.0, Internet of things, machine learning, Big Data projects. Auriga have been assessed and registered as compliant with the requirements of ISO 13485:2016 for software testing of medical devices. Auriga has conducted a unique survey that unveils current trends in embedded software testing.

2018 - Auriga made Global Outsourcing 100 list of the leading outsourcing service providers worldwide for the 11th year in a row.

2019 - Auriga announced the appointment of a new CEO, Vyacheslav Vanyulin, an accomplished software executive with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. IAOP® emphasized Auriga’s excellence in the areas of customer references, programs for innovation, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Auriga partnered with Parasoft, the global leader in software test automation for embedded, enterprise, and IoT markets, to bring together Parasoft’s automated testing solutions with Auriga’s consulting services. Auriga was named a Clutch Global Leader in the development category as one of the top 15 IoT Development companies on Clutch worldwide.

2020 - Auriga was ranked in Top-15 IoT market leaders worldwide by Clutch.co, a renowned independent B2B ratings and reviews platform. Clutch.co named Auriga among the 1000 highest-performing B2B service providers on Clutch’s directory. Auriga was listed among the 100 best custom software development companies worldwide by The Manifest, a B2B services research firm.
