BSF UAV

BSF UAVs are Chinese UAVs developed by Changchun Blue Sky Focus Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (BSF, 长春蓝天焦点科技有限公司). BSF is in the business of aerial photography and survey since its formation in 2012, but while in operation, it was discovered that available UAVs are either not being able to meet one hundred percent of the particular requirements of specific mission, or just too expensive. As a result, BSF developed its own brand of UAVs to meet the requirements, and a total of five BSF UAVs have since being developed.[1]

BSF Fixed-Wing UAV

A total of two models of fixed-wing UAVs developed by BSF has been identified, and both are miniature UAVs that can be launched by hand. Both fixed-wing UAVs have conventional layout, and both are equipped with two-blade propeller driven by an engine. What distinguish the two UAVs are the installation of their respective engines: one of the fixed wing has a traditional tractor engine with propeller installed in the nose,[2] while the other has a pusher engine installed behind the wing.[3] The fixed-wing UAV with pusher engine is also a slightly shorter than the other one with tractor engine.

BSF Rotary-Wing UAV

A total of three rotary-wing UAVs developed by BSF have been publicized by the developer, and all them are multirotors. The largest BSF multirotor (as of 2013) is a hexacopter UAV with six rotors; each has a two-blade rotor.[4] The other two BSF multirotor UAVs are both quadcopter UAVs. The slightly larger one of the two quadcopter UAVs are equipped with two-blade rotors just like its bigger cousin hexacopter, and the slightly smaller one of the two quadcopter UAVs are equipped with three-blade rotors, each of which is protected by circular rails.[5]
