History

The station opened on 7 May 1906 by the Bankfoot Light Railway. It was the northern terminus of a short branch line and was north of Strathord station. Opposite the only platform were goods sidings and a goods shed. The station was closed to both passengers and goods traffic on 13 April 1931. The site became a caravan site with the platform surviving; now it is a housing estate.[1][2]
