Bayt al-Maqdis (disambiguation)

Bait al-Maqdis or Bayt al-Maqdis' (Arabic: بيت المقدس‎), Hebrew: בית הבקדש‎, romanized: Beit HaMikdash, lit. 'Holy House', referring to the Temple in Jerusalem. Hebrew: הקדש‎, romanized: Ha Qodesh, lit. 'The Holy', is also semantically extended as a common designation for Jerusalem in the Arabic language as Al-Quds (disambiguation). In Islamic sources it refers to the entire area where the Al Aqsa Mosque compound is situated.
