Bernhard Brugger

Berhard Brugger (born 25 December 1966 Salzburg, Austria) was an Austrian international football referee.[1]

Career

He officiated 12 international matches in 2001-2010 and was member of FIFA in 1999-2011. He attributed two EURO qualifying matches in EURO 2004 Malta-Cyprus (1:2) and EURO 2008 England-Andorra (5:0), two World Cup qualifying matches in WC 2002 Slovenia-Luxembourg 2:0 and WC 2006 Israel-Faroe Islands 2:1[2] and others were in friendly matches. He gave a red card in EURO 2004 qualing match played between Malta and Cyprus in 2003 to maltese goalkeeper Saviour Darmanin in 23rd minute.[3] He also attributed two Euro U21 qualifying matches.

In club football he officiated some UEFA competition matches such as Champions League qualification (4), Europa League and qualification (17+7) and Intertoto Cup (4). He also attributed 198 Austrian Football Bundesliga matches, 18 matches in Austrian Cup around 1994-2012.[4] He also attributed 2001 Austrian Super Cup match played between FC Tirol Innsbruck-FC Kärnten (9:10 p).
