Bhavna Pani

Bhavna Pani is an Indian actress - model and a dancer. Pani has been a dancer since age of six. She is trained in Odissi and Kathak by the legends – Kelucharan Mohapatra and Birju Maharaj.[1] She has also learned Contemporary Modern dance at the Terrence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company and trained in Jazz and Ballet.

She has acted in many commercial ads and films in Bollywood. One of her most notable roles was in director Priyadarshan’s Malayalam comedy film Vettam (2004). She is a theatre personality who has performed in several plays with Motley (Naseeruddin Shah) and QTP (Quasar Thakore Padamsee)

She is currently working on a theatrical adaptation of Devdas with Ashvin Gidwani Productions (AGP World). She plays the role of Chandramukhi.

Career

Bhavna Pani was born and brought up in Mumbai, India.[1] She is the daughter of ad filmmaker Uday Shankar Pani.[2] She has a younger sister Devna Pani who is a fashion designer and actress.[3] She did her BA in Psychology and Philosophy from Mithibai College, Mumbai.[2]

She started her career with her first Bollywood film Tere Liye, at the age of 17.[1][4] Since then, she has acted in many films including a Telugu film named Ninu Chudaka Nenundalenu in 2002. She has also expressed that she likes to do more romantic comedy films.

She has been performing as the lead dancer in Sahara India’s ambitious production Bharti for over ten years.[5][6] She won Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress for So Many Socks.[7]
