Biriyaani
Biriyaani (Malayalam: ബിരിയാണി, also known as Flavors of Flesh) is a 2020 Indian Malayalam-language film written and directed by Sajin Babu.[2] The film was produced by UAN Film House, it features Kani Kusruti, Shailaja in the lead roles. The film won NETPAC award for best film in 20th Asiatica Film Festival in Rome.[3] Actress Kani Kusurthi won the second-best actress award at the Imagine Film Festival in Madrid, Spain for the performance in this film.[4]She has also won Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress[5]at Kerala State Film Awards in 2019 for her performance as Khadeeja.

Plot
Biriyani portrays the problems faced by two young muslim women in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital of Kerala. Both women live near the seashore and a few drastic events happen in their lives forcing them to leave the place. The film tells the story of their journey and their struggles. Kani Kusurthi plays in the lead role of Khadeeja and Shailaja in the supporting role. The movie tells the story of how a married Muslim woman breaks free off religious and social norms prevalent in the society.

Production
The film was shot at places close to Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram and also at some places in Tamil Nadu.[12][13]
