Björn Djupström

Björn Djupström (born 25 February 1982) is a Swedish songwriter and producer, currently a member of the songwriting duo Priest and the Beast. He has written songs for artists such as Pitbull, J-Lo, Enrique Iglesias, Nicki Minaj and Marc Anthony.

Djupström studied at the Writers Academy of Sweden. He subsequently wrote songs for Swedish artist Loreen, including "My Heart is Refusing me" which sold 2X Platinum in Sweden.[1]

Between 2011 and 2014, Djupström collaborated with producer and songwriter RedOne and co-wrote several songs, including "Live it up" with Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull,[2] "C’est La Vie" with Khaled[3] and "Vivir Mi Vida" with Marc Anthony.[4] The latter song won a Latin Grammy Award in 2013 for Record of the Year and holds the record for the second-longest run inside the top-five in the Billboard Latin Songs, with 51 weeks. The song certified 16X Platinum US (Latin), 2X Platinum in Mexico and certified Gold in Italy and Spain. Other songs co-written by Djupström include Whip it by Nicki Minaj[5] and "I Like How It Feels" by Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull.[6]

The songwriting duo Priest and the Beast released Jessie Reyez first single "Figures*[7] and "Like it Like it" by Marcus & Martinus feat. Silentó[8] together.
