Blakely Southern Railroad

The Blakely and Southern Railroad has one of the briefest existence of any railroad line that actually operated track. It was chartered in 1911 and was built in 1911–12, the railroad went bankrupt and was completely abandoned by 1914. The railroad had only one locomotive, one freight car, and one passenger car. It operated a 22-mile line between Blakely, GA and Jakin, GA.
