Blerp

Blerp is an audio sharing platform that makes it easy to enhance any moment. Blerp was created by Aaron Hsu while studying at the University of Utah. Inspired by the success of the viral Shia Labeouf soundboard, which had over 50,000 downloads in the first week. It was this experience that inspired him to create a single platform to easily search and share audio content. Sound uniquely connects people through tone and emotion, an idea that Aaron chose to augment with Blerp.

After creating keyboard integrations on the App and Android stores, Blerp turned its attention to other high growth social sharing platforms. In 2019 Blerp launched its Sound Emotes extension to the Twitch extension store to brings 1M+ sounds to content creators on Twitch. In just 6 months they had over 30,000 monthly active users and over 100,000 unique installs of their extension. This led to thousands of users signing up for a Blerp account to create and organize their own sounds.

In June 2020 Blerp joined the Alexa Fund as part of the Next Stage Accelerator and closed on pre-seed funding with other notable Venture funds. Blerps funding will take audio expression to more technologies on Discord, Fb.gg, Youtube gaming and Voice Assistants.
