Robert A. Westbrooks is an American attorney, Certified Public Accountant, auditor, and government watchdog serving as Executive Director of the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee.

Education

Westbrooks earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in justice from American University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. After graduating from law school, he was admitted to the Maryland State Bar Association.[1]

Career

Westbrooks began his career as a staffer in the United States Senate before serving as an agent of the United States Postal Inspection Service.[2] Westbrooks later worked for the National Archives and Records Administration, United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General, and Office of Inspector General for the Department of Transportation.[3] Westbrooks also served as Deputy Inspector General of the Small Business Administration. In May 2015, he was appointed Inspector General of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Westbrooks was appointed Executive Director of the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee on April 27, 2020.[4][5][6]
