Brandon Neel

Brandon Neel (born, December 7, 1992) is an American professional basketball player, born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He most recently played for the Moncton Magic (NBL Canada) as a shooting guard in 2019–20. He has played for South Plains College and La Salle High School (Cincinnati, Ohio).[1][2][3]

Career

Neel was part of the Fork Union Military Academy Blue Devils, his high school team in 2013. In college, he played for the Midwestern State University Mustangs Basketball Team. With this team, he played at Melbourne in Eurobasket Summer League (ESL) in Chicago. He has also played for NJCAA D1 championship.[4][5][2]

From 2015 to 2016, in the Wright State University, he played five games with an average of 3 points per game, 1.4 rebounds, with three blocks and four steals in 11.6 minutes. In the final two years of collegiate ball, Neel played at Midwestern State. In 2018, he averaged 18.8 points per game.[6][7]

He played at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I program in Lubbock and transferred to Wright State from La Salle High School team in 2015. He played at the Texas program after completing the postgraduate work at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. He was part of this team for one year. In 2019, Neel was signed by Moncton Magic for the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada).[8][9][10]

Honors and awards

In 2011, Neel was The Enquirer Division I player of the year and was named the most outstanding player in the state tournament.[11][3]
