CSM Târgu Mureș (men's basketball)

Clubul Sportiv Municipal Târgu Mureș, commonly known as CSM Târgu Mureș, or simply Târgu Mureș, is a Romanian basketball club based in Târgu Mureș, currently participates in the Liga Națională, the top-tier league in Romania. The club is the men's basketball department of CSM Târgu Mureș, a multi-sport club founded on 19 December 2017 in order to bring back to life the sport from the city, which went almost completely into bankruptcy during the 2017–18 season.[1][2]

Men's basketball section of CSM started its activity in the summer of 2018 and was enrolled in the Group C of Liga Națională continuing the tradition started by its predecessor, BC Mureș.[3]
