Caitlín Nic Aoidh
Caitlín Nic Aoidh is a television presenter on TG4. She is a native Irish speaker from Cloughaneely in County Donegal.[1]
Education
Nic Aoidh attended Pobalscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola in Falcarragh, and later attended Maynooth University. She graduated with a degree in Irish and music, and later obtained a master's degree from the same university. She was also awarded a Dioplóma Gairmiúil san Oideachas (DGO) at NUI Galway.[1]
Career
Nic Aoidh was a secondary school teacher, with Irish and music as her subjects, before joining TG4 as a television presenter.[2][1] She is a weather forecaster on TG4.
On Halloween in 2016, viewers were shocked when Nic Aoidh went "missing" after a lightning flash.[3][4] That trick was popular at the time, and was part of a response to the TV show Have I Got a Bit More News for You.[5]
She was a guest on the The Tommy Tiernan Show in 2018.[6]
She was nominated for 'Best TV Presenter' at the 2016 STELLAR Shine Awards.[7]
