Caitlyn Chase (born 8 July 1987) is an American fashion blogger, writer and businesswoman.[1][2] She is an influencer who has collaborated with fashion and beauty brands, including Olay, Virgin Limited Edition Hotels & Resorts, Nespresso, Joe Fresh, Simon G Jewelry, Glamsquad, and Simple Human, via her blog Caviar & Cashmere.[3][4] In 2017, Chase was awarded “Trendsetter of the Year” by the Los Angeles Business Journal.[5][6]

Early life and education

Chase was born on July 8, 1987 in Los Angeles, California, to Richard Chase, an American professional poker player and entrepreneur,[7] and Marlyn Chase, an American model turned interior designer.[8]

Chase went to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sociology in 2009.[9]

Career

Chase began her career as a journalist, writing for fashion and beauty magazines including In Touch Weekly, Esquire Magazine, Haute Living, Four Seasons Magazine, FabFitFun, and 944 Magazine.[8] She also appeared in an independent film called The Diet Life in 2009.

Since starting her fashion blog, Caviar & Cashmere, in 2011, Chase has collaborated with numerous brands, including Vanity Fair Magazine, Glamour Magazine, Nespresso, Olay, Diageo, Hilhaven Lodge Whiskey, L’Oreal, Clive Christian Perfume Joe Fresh, and Victoria's Secret. She also represented companies including Lionsgate Films, Saks Fifth Avenue, Fairmont Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels,[10] Kimpton Hotels, Virgin Limited Edition Hotels,[11] Lionsgate Films and Glamsquad.[12][13]

Chase launched her cashmere line, also called Caviar & Cashmere, in 2012.[14][15][16] In 2013, she modeled for Olay, appearing in their campaign for Olay Fresh Effects.[17][18]

Caitlyn was interviewed on Business Rockstars about turning her blog into a business in 2014.[19][20]

In 2016, Chase launched a capsule jewelry collection partnering with Iconery, also called Caviar & Cashmere.[21]

Chase has been working as an influencer and appeared in several magazines and programmes. She was interviewed on LA Talk Radio in 2016 and spoke on a panel about being an influencer at StyleCon in 2017. In 2018, she appeared on CBS television as a luxury lifestyle expert.[22] Later in the year, she launched a skincare line called Caviar & Cashmere Skincare.[23][24][2] The collection includes three products- a facial cleanser, serum and hydrating cream.[25] The products are claimed to be natural and chemical-free.[26][27]

In 2019, Chase has been seen on television shows, such as KTLA and conference panels such as Simply Stylist and Stay Boutique Live as a lifestyle expert.[28]

Awards and recognition

Chase was named one of the top 10 fashion bloggers in Los Angeles in 2015 by Locale Magazine[29] and "One to Watch" by Los Angeles Confidential Magazine in 2016. She was awarded "Trendsetter of the Year" by Los Angeles Business Journal in 2017. [30][7] She has been featured in publications such as The Huffington Post, Glamour, BlackBook, Vogue, and US Weekly.[31][32][33]
