California Department of Aging

The California Department of Aging (CDA) is a California state department that oversees the execution of the Older Californians Act and the Older Americans Act.[1] It is nominally under the auspices of the California Health and Human Services Agency. It is headquartered in Sacramento.[2] As of Fall 2019, the California Department of Aging is being led by director Kim McCoy Wade. McCoy Wade, the former chief of the CalFresh and Nutrition Branch at the California Department of Social Services, is the chief executive tasked with enacting Governor Newsom's Master Plan on Aging.
